At the moment it seems to be the modern thing to work regionally and locally, to prefer zero-miles products and to use seasonal vegetables. If that’s the case, then we have always been very modern, forward thinking and sustainable. Why? Simply because when you're at 2,000 metres above sea level, you look for suppliers who are close by. After all, the road into the valley is a long way away. And that's why the farmers around the corner are our preferred partners and suppliers. It’s only with their help that we can produce such delicious dishes and thanks to their produce that we can be “just in time”. Always sustainable and humble when dealing with our surroundings.

Our meals are completely tailored to the season and the region. And that’s why you won’t find prawn cocktail on our menu. We are straightforward, and so are our dishes. We don't just have home-made cakes – you can find more delicious creations from Edith's kitchen in our menu.

Chanterelle and venison goulash

We embrace the forest and mix the delicious things that we pick there with fresh ingredients from our garden. We use these to conjure up the unmistakeable Halsl cuisine. Our menu does not contain huge numbers of dishes, but instead selected meals that we promise you will enjoy. And served alongside them, for example, is a nice glass of easily digestible red wine from the Radoar Estate. Enjoy honest and down-to-earth cuisine happy in the knowledge that it is local in the here and now. Thank you!
